The Tacoma Urban League serves children, youth and adults in partnership with government entities, public agencies and private donors throughout the area. As one of the 100 affiliates of the National Urban leagues, Tacoma serves 3,500 individuals and families each year through direct service community outreach, advocacy activities.
| On this, the 100th anniversary of the Urban League, we ask that you become a supporter of the Tacoma Urban League-Century Partners Program. A contribution of $2500 will support the Tacoma Urban League’s (TUL) efforts; the Century Partners Program is a symbol of what the Tacoma Urban League represents as well as what it produces—futures for young people and better lives for the disenfranchised. How does the Tacoma Urban League provide brighter futures?

- We provide math/science education to enterprising young fourth and fifth grade girls in the President’s Club.
- We mitigate violent tendencies in young men through violence reduction programs in the Male Involvement Program; we coach children through grief, loss and trauma in the Family Literacy Program.
- We tutor students to prepare for WASL and college futures in Graduation Plus.
- We support the economic and educational advancement of women in our Women’s Support Group.
- We drive multiple public health initiatives through partnerships with City of Tacoma and Pierce County.
Through your contribution, you open TUL’s doors even wider to the community. Under the leadership of Dr. Dorothy Anderson, the TUL has seen significant grant and gift support for these educational programs, but has also seen waning support for overall operations. Your funds go directly to support the staff, space and collateral materials that drive the quality of our educational programs and the mission that has defined TUL as an essential community enterprise. As a thank you to those who choose to support the TUL’s talented young people, each year TUL will publicly thank its donors to the Century Partners Program and list them on the growing list of Century Partners on its website.
