Looking Toward Wellness Program

The Looking Toward Wellness series focuses on diet, exercise and lifestyle changes to reduce the incidence of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, cancer and stress related disorders. This program is part of “the 50 Million Pound Challenge,” which encourages African Americans to come together to collectively lose 50 million pounds and reduce the risks that being overweight poses to our community. As an added incentive, we are collecting healthy variations on soul food cuisine to share with our members. Look for weekly additions on our web site beginning in April, 2008.
